Airalo is the name most travellers hear first. But a famous name doesn't mean the best price. When we compared a week in Turkey, Airalo's plan cost €22.50. Ours cost €3.45, with more data than most travellers use in a week.

We checked Airalo's prices on its own website on 27 October 2026. Prices can change, so treat the figures as a snapshot.

What a trip to Turkey costs

When we checked, Airalo's Turkey page offered unlimited plans. Ours give you a fixed amount of data, sized for how people really use their phones abroad.

TripBlue eSIMAiralo
1 week€1.79 (1 GB) or €3.45 (3 GB, 15 days)€22.50
2 weeks€3.45 (3 GB) or €4.95 (5 GB, 30 days)€36.00
1 month€4.95 (5 GB) or €8.45 (10 GB)€63.50

A month in Turkey with 10 GB costs €8.45 with us. That leaves you about €55 for a good dinner on the Bosphorus.

Do you need unlimited data?

Probably not. Maps, WhatsApp, Instagram and a few video calls use around 300 to 500 MB a day. That is 3 to 5 GB for a week, and hotel and café Wi-Fi covers the rest.

Unlimited plans charge you for data you never use. They also tend to come with a fair-use policy, so heavy use can still get slowed down. With a fixed plan you know exactly what you pay for. If you run low, you top up the same eSIM in a few taps.

The app shows the data and days you have left, so there are no surprises.

Europe: one plan for 34 countries

Airalo's Europe page listed unlimited plans from €25.00 for 7 days to €65.50 for 30 days when we checked.

Our Europe plan covers 34 countries, including the UK, Switzerland and Turkey. 10 GB for 30 days costs €12.79, and 20 GB costs €24.49. A whole month across Europe with us costs about half of Airalo's week. See every country we cover.

Share your data with your laptop or family

Our plans let you use your phone as a hotspot, with no daily cap. Connect a laptop, a tablet or your children's phones, and they share the plan's data.
