"Unlimited data" sounds like the safe choice. In practice, most travellers pay for gigabytes they never touch. A month in Turkey with Holafly was $73.90 when we checked. With us, 10 GB for the same month costs €8.45, and for most people 10 GB is more than enough.

We checked Holafly's prices on its own website on 27 October 2026. Holafly shows most prices in US dollars, and we quote them as listed.

What a trip to Turkey costs

TripBlue eSIMHolafly
1 week€1.79 (1 GB) or €3.45 (3 GB, 15 days)$27.50
2 weeks€3.45 (3 GB) or €4.95 (5 GB, 30 days)$50.50
1 month€4.95 (5 GB) or €8.45 (10 GB)$73.90

What a trip across Europe costs

Holafly's Europe plan covered 33 countries when we checked, at $27.50 for 7 days and $76.50 for 30 days.

Our Europe plan covers 34 countries, including the UK, Switzerland and Turkey. 10 GB for 30 days costs €12.79, and 20 GB costs €24.49. That is a month of travel for less than Holafly's single week.

The hotspot catch

Holafly's Europe and Turkey pages say you can share 1 GB a day through your phone's hotspot. So "unlimited" stops being unlimited the moment you open a laptop. Work for an afternoon, sync your photos, or let the kids watch a show on a tablet, and you hit the cap.

Our plans have no daily hotspot limit. Share as much of your plan's data as you like, with a laptop, a tablet or the whole family.

How much data do you really use?

Most travellers use 300 to 500 MB a day for maps, messages and social media. That is 3 to 5 GB for a week, and around 10 GB for a busy month. Hotel Wi-Fi handles the big downloads.

So pick the plan that matches your trip, and top up if you need more. You pay for what you use, not for a promise you'll never test.
